Project Summary

The purpose of this project is to determine the extent to which farmers are willing to voluntarily participate in programs that are designed to increase the amount of habitat available to Monarch butterflies on the farm landscape. It will also assess the extent to which alternative public or private incentives like the USDA's Conservation Stewardship Program or Monsanto's Residual Herbicide Rebate Program can be used to further increase farmer participation in Monarch butterfly conservation programs.
