Annual Safety Training

CFANS faculty, staff and students who work in fields and research plots are required to participate in ANNUAL safety training. The types of training required for each individual staff member will vary depending on their work assignments and the types of hazards to which they might be exposed.

The following table shows the most common types of required training, along with a description of who must have the training, how often it must be completed, and what options exist for completing the training. Please note that these are only the most common requirements. Other requirements may exist for employees who work in or around grain handling or grain storage equipment, employees who repair or service equipment, employees who operate aerial lifts or forklifts, etc. PDF version of these instructions.

Please contact Paul Serafini in University Health and Safety (612-625-8043) with questions about other requirements that might apply.
